The 6th meeting of the BRICS Ocean and Polar Science and Technology Working Group took place on 13–15 June in Murmansk.
The meeting topics included the study and development of the resources of the World Ocean, including current changes in its deep areas, the impact on the climate system, and the state of coastal zones.
The event was attended by more than 50 scientists involved in BRICS research projects on oceanic and polar sciences. The experts paid special attention to possible joint marine scientific expeditions.
The Roscongress Foundation manages the events of Russia’s BRICS chairship.
