Senior Health Officials of the BRICS countries held a second meeting in Moscow on 8–9 October.
Participants discussed challenges and threats to the healthcare systems in BRICS member states and the outlook for further cooperation in nuclear medicine, the fight against antimicrobial resistance, the establishment of BRICS Medical Journal and Association, the creation of Integrated Early Warning System for Preventing the Risk of Mass Infectious Diseases, the work of BRICS TB Research Network and BRICS Vaccine R&D Centre, and general cooperation in public healthcare. The Russian delegation presented severail initiatives.
The Roscongress Foundation managed the events of Russia’s BRICS chairship.
