St. Petersburg to Host BRICS International Municipal Forum Economic Congress
The 6th BRICS International Municipal Forum Economic Congress will be held in St. Petersburg on 21–22 November 2024. The main theme of the event is ‘Public Health Safety’. Other relevant economic, youth policy, business tourism development, ecology, and nature management issues will also be discussed. The Congress will host a number of sessions and roundtables where opinion leaders and representatives of the business community and state and municipal authorities will talk about how to overcome existing economic challenges and identify priorities for economic and health-related cooperation.
Over 3,500 participants from 57 countries in Asia, Africa, Latin America, and the Middle East are expected to attend the event, with leading experts, representatives of government agencies, business, and the academic community of BRICS invited to take part.
The Economic Congress is the final event of the 6th BRICS International Municipal Forum scheduled for 2024. It is aimed at finding practical ways to maintain sustainable economic growth and modernize municipal and regional systems of governance. Participants will discuss economic sustainability as it pertains to the city, development of infrastructure, digitalization of urban space, support for small and medium-sized businesses, and new environmental projects.
The 6th BRICS International Municipal Forum Economic Congress will foster cooperation and encourage the exchange of experience, host B2B negotiations, and forge strong international ties needed to resolve urgent issues facing BRICS.
