Roundtable on “Prospects for BRICS Cooperation in the Study, Development, and Sustainable Use of Mineral Resources” to be held in Moscow

Roundtable on “Prospects for BRICS Cooperation in the Study, Development, and Sustainable Use of Mineral Resources” will be held on July 15-17 in Moscow.

The activities of the national geological services of the BRICS countries will be presented as part of the round table program. The participants will discuss prospects for cooperation in the context of the development of the mineral resource base of the BRICS countries, the development of an expert community and capacity building within the harmonization of the national classification system of mineral resources, and present scientific and technical developments in the field of digitalization of geology.

The participants of the event will be presented with the initiative to establish a "BRICS Geological Platform" for a wide range of discussions by experts and other stakeholders on key issues of cooperation and technological development in the field of geology.

It is also planned to adopt the final statement of the heads of the national geological services of the BRICS countries.

The event is organized by the Federal Agency for Mineral Resources of the Russian Federation. The Roscongress Foundation manages the events of Russia’s BRICS chairship.
