BRICS Healthcare Regulatory Authorities to Meet on Sidelines of SPIEF 2024

The healthcare regulatory authorities of BRICS countries will hold a meeting on 5 June 2024 on the sidelines of the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF 2024) as part of the Russian Pharmaceutical Forum ‘Ensuring Drug Security’. The Russian Ministry of Health and the Russian Federal Service for Surveillance in Healthcare are the organizers of the meeting.

The event will be attended by representatives of the national healthcare and regulatory authorities of BRICS countries, as well as pharmaceutical companies.

A closed meeting of BRICS regulators will be held in a roundtable format to discuss the previously signed Memorandum of understanding between the BRICS regulatory authorities on cooperation in the regulation of medical products and the accession of new BRICS countries to the documennt. A proposal will be made to discuss the formation of the BRICS Regulators Association and prepare a joint communique.

The BRICS regulatory authorities and pharmaceutical companies will hold an open panel discussion, as well as a presentation of the Russian pharmaceutical business.

The Roscongress Foundation manages the events of Russia’s BRICS Chairship and is organizing the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum.
