BRICS Representatives to Discuss Cooperation in Secondary Vocational Education

The BRICS Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) Cooperation Alliance will hold a seminar in a hybrid format on 29 May 2024. The seminar is being organized by the Russian Ministry of Education and the Institute for the Development of Vocational Education.

The event will serve as a platform for the third BRICS TVET Institution Presidents Forum. The meeting aims to expand the network-based interaction of educational, research, and production organizations in order to enhance the efficiency of HR training for various industrial sectors. The seminar participants will discuss current issues in vocational education and preparations for the annual meeting of BRICS Ministers of Education.

The seminar will be attended by BRICS members, including representatives of the countries that joined the association this year. The meeting will address such issues as the development of international cooperation, interaction with the labour market, equal opportunities, expanding access to vocational education, as well as growing demand for TVET and blue-collar professions.

The event will also be attended by employees of educational authorities, representatives of secondary vocational education organizations and higher education organizations that are implementing vocational training programmes (TVET), employers that collaborate with colleges and technical schools, and representatives of BRICS embassies.

The BRICS TVET Cooperation Alliance was established in 2022. The Alliance’s activities aim to create a multilateral platform to exchange information and best practices, encourage cooperation between countries, and expand employment opportunities in BRICS countries.

The Roscongress Foundation manages the event of Russia’s BRICS Chairship.
