Rospatent Conference to Feature a session on BRICS Intellectual Property Systems
On 26 April a BRICS session will be held on the sidelines of the ERA IP Quorum ‘Creative Property: Intellectual Economy’ International Conference.
Representatives from BRICS intellectual property agencies will talk about their work and challenges they face, ways of operation of national intellectual property (IP) systems, and key development trends.
The BRICS IP cooperation mechanism was launched in 2013 and covers a wide range of issues related to application examination procedures, digital transformation, training and public awareness, and support for SMEs among other issues relevant to intellectual property. The 2024 expansion of BRICS will undoubtedly increase the interest of the business community towards member countries and the protection and enforcement of intellectual property rights.
The conference will also address current issues in IP and intellectual law, the creative economy, and public policy. The conference is being organized by the Federal Service for Intellectual Property (Rospatent) and the Russian Centre for the Circulation of Rights to the Results of Creative Activity (RTsIS) and will be held at the Skolkovo Innovation Centre Technopark.
The Roscongress Foundation manages the events of Russia’s BRICS Chairship.
BRICS session is scheduled for: 15:00–16:40
