Meeting of BRICS Public Health Experts to be Held Online

The Meeting of BRICS Public Health Experts will be held online on 12 September 2024 as part of the Russia’s BRICS Chairship in 2024. The meeting aims to highlight national activities and identify promising areas for further joint work of the BRICS countries in the area of public health.

The event has been organized by the Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation and the Russian Research Institute of Health of the Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation.

Combined efforts in public health can help the BRICS countries take steps towards improving the well-being of their citizens through better health, which will, in turn, contribute to economic growth.

The BRICS Public Health Research Network initiative, which aims to develop mutual support and cooperation among the BRICS countries, will be presented for detailed discussion at the event.

Contacts on the sidelines of BRICS events demonstrate the interest of the partners in exchanging experience in various areas of healthcare. The creation of a permanent platform uniting specialized institutes with a vested interest in healthcare will allow us to respond to expert comments, ensure equal and unimpeded access to the best practices of strengthening and protecting public health, and exchange experience with a view to predicting future trends and problems in healthcare systems.
