Online Meeting of BRICS Public Health Experts Held in Moscow

BRICS public health experts met online on 12 September 2024 as part of Russia’s Chairship of BRICS in 2024. The event was organized by the Ministry of Health of Russia, the Russian Research Institute of Health, and the Roscongress Foundation.

By working together on public health, BRICS member states can improve the well-being of their citizens by making them healthier.

Meeting participants shared their experience organizing public health events and identified promising areas for further collaboration within BRICS.

A Russian initiative to launch a BRICS Public Health Research Network where countries can receive support and opportunities for collaboration was met with unanimous support.

The Meeting of BRICS Public Health Experts is an important step towards establishing an international platform within BRICS for working together and sharing knowledge on public health.

The Roscongress Foundation manages the events of Russia’s BRICS Chairship.
