2nd BRICS Technical Workshop on Mutual Recognition of Qualifications Held in Innopolis

The 2nd BRICS Technical Workshop on Mutual Recognition of Qualifications was held in Innopolis, Tatarstan, on 4 October 2024 on the sidelines of the Digital Innopolis Days x AI IN 2024 international forum.

The event was the result of agreements reached at the 11th Meeting of BRICS Ministers of Education in Kazan on 11 June 2024.

Experts and representatives of authorities, universities, and professional organizations from across BRICS engaged in informative discussions on the peculiarities of national legislation, current challenges, the use of digital technologies for the recognition of foreign qualifications, and issues around opening the labour market to foreign specialists.

The workshop will lead to further cooperation for the special working group established by the ministers as part of the Kazan Declaration. Under the chairship of Brazil next year, the group will continue work on the Russian draft Memorandum of Understanding that defines a framework for cooperation on mutual recognition of qualifications.
