14th Meeting of BRICS Ministers of Health to Be Held in Moscow

The 14th Meeting of BRICS Ministers of Health will be held in Moscow on 10–11 October 2024.

BRICS Ministers of Health have been invited to speak to the students of the Sechenov First Moscow State Medical University on the topic of ‘BRICS for Future Generations: Overcoming Modern Challenges and Threats to Healthcare’.

The programme includes visits to the following Russian medical institutions: Sklifosovsky Research Institute for Emergency Medicine, Kommunarka Moscow Multidisciplinary Medical Centre, Blokhin National Medical Research Center of Oncology, the Centre for Diagnostics and Telemedicine, the Vishnevsky National Medical Research Centre of Surgery, the Federal Centre for Disaster Medicine, and the S. Fyodorov Eye Microsurgery Federal State Institution.

The 14th Meeting of BRICS Ministers of Health will host discussions on the challenges and threats facing healthcare in BRICS, as well as the outlook for cooperation in such new areas as nuclear medicine, combatting antimicrobial resistance, public health, the establishment of a BRICS Medical Journal and BRICS Medical Association, the creation of an Integrated Early Warning System for Preventing the Risk of Mass Infectious Diseases in BRICS, the BRICS Tuberculosis Research Network and BRICS Vaccine Centre, and regulatory cooperation. The meeting will end with the adoption of a joint declaration.

The Roscongress Foundation manages the events of Russia’s BRICS chairship.
