Moscow to Host 6th International Municipal BRICS Forum
The 6th International Municipal BRICS (IMBRICS) Forum will take place in Moscow on 27–28 August 2024. This annual business event is aimed at integrating positive global experience in the technological, economic, and social development of municipal territories of the BRICS countries and their partners. The Forum is to be attended by representatives of 126 countries, 89 Russian regions and 500 cities – over 5000 people.
The 2024 edition of IMBRICS is being held as part of the Russian Federation’s chairship of BRICS.
In the run-up to the IMBRICS Forum, the Moscow Chamber of Commerce and Industry will be hosting an event on 9 August to acquaint people with the Forum, outlining its programme and key topics, which will be attended by President of the Moscow Chamber of Commerce and Industry Vladimir Platonov, Deputy Head of the Department for External Economic and International Relations of Moscow Vyacheslav Manuilov, and Director of the BRICS Business Communications Support Foundation Mikhail Sverdlov.
The Government of Moscow will act as the General Partner of the IMBRICS Forum.
The event is supported and co-organized by the Federation Council of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation, the Moscow Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the Moscow City Duma, and many other organizations. The Roscongress Foundation serves as the operator of the Forum and other events held as part of the Russian Federation’s chairship of BRICS.
