Moscow to Host BRICS Tax Heads and Experts Meeting
Moscow will host a meeting of BRICS tax heads and experts on 24–26 September 2024.
In the run-up to the Meeting of the Heads of BRICS Tax Administrations, experts from working groups will hold meetings over the course of two days on the main focuses of tax administration: data use, VAT modernization, a client-centric approach, and HR practices.
On 26 September, Russian Federal Tax Service Director Daniil Yegorov will chair the Meeting of the Heads of BRICS Tax Administrations. The meeting participants will recap the results of the working groups’ activities and outline further prospects for cooperation between BRICS countries in tax administration.
The following officials will speak at the meeting: Deputy Special Secretary of the Secretariat of the Federal Revenue of Brazil Adriana Rego Gomes, Head of the Egyptian Tax Authority Rasha Abdel Aal, Revenue Secretary of India Sanjay Malhotra, Head of the Iranian National Tax Administration Seyyed Mohammad-Hadi Sobhanian, Deputy Head of the State Taxation Administration of China Cai Zili, UAE Federal Tax Authority Director-General Khalid Ali Al Bustani, Ethiopian Minister of Revenue of Ethiopia Aynalem Nigussie Ali, and Deputy Commissioner of the South African Revenue Service Johnstone Makhubu. The event will also be attended by experts from BRICS tax administrations.
The Roscongress Foundation manages the events of Russia’s BRICS chairmanship.
