Moscow to Host BRICS Media Summit

The BRICS Media Summit will be held on 13–17 September 2024 at the Congress Centre of the World Trade Centre in Moscow. The event will be attended by the heads of leading BRICS media entities, as well as media outlets from countries that have expressed interest in expanding cooperation with the group. The event is being organized by the Russian News Agency TASS.

The BRICS Media Forum is a non-governmental, non-profit platform for dialogue between the leading media outlets of BRICS member states. It was established in 2015. The status of the event has been enhanced and it will be held in the format of a Media Summit in 2024.

Speakers invited to the event include Russian Minister of Foreign Affairs Sergey Lavrov, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Sergey Ryabkov, and Deputy Minister of Digital Development, Communications, and Mass Media Bella Cherkesova.

The extensive programme of the Media Summit will include panel sessions with experts that focus on the role of the BRICS media community in bolstering stability and cooperation in a multipolar world, as well as technological aspects of information collaboration between BRICS countries.

The opening ceremony of the Media Summit will be held at 10:00 on 14 September.
