BRICS Senior Health Officials to Meet in Moscow

A Meeting of BRICS Senior Officials is set to take place in Moscow on 18–19 April and will host a discussion of upcoming Russian Chairship health activities, initiatives to establish a BRICS Scientific Medical Journal and BRICS Medical Association, and a variety of other health issues within BRICS.

The BRICS Scientific Medical Journal would support BRICS scientists and introduce joint BRICS projects to the rest of the world.

The BRICS Medical Association would serve to expand interaction among medical personnel and cooperation between professional medical associations within BRICS.

The establishment of BRICS Medical Journal and BRICS Medical Association was included in the Declaration of the 13th BRICS Health Ministers’ Meeting.

Among the topics of discussion will be the results of the videoconference of experts dedicated to the implementation of the Russian initiative to create a BRICS Integrated Early Warning System for preventing the risk of mass infectious diseases, which took pkace on 27 March.

The Roscongress Foundation manages the events of Russia’s BRICS Chairship.
