BRICS Environment Ministers to Discuss Joint Programmes and Development of New Environmental Initiatives in Nizhny Novgorod
BRICS Ministers of environment will discuss crucial environmental protection issues in Nizhny Novgorod on 26-–28 June 2024.
The meeting programme includes a number of expert events, during which participants will meet over the course of several days to consider the practical implementation of the BRICS Clean Rivers programme, the BRICS Partnership for Urban Environment Sustainability Initiative, and the role of young people in solving environmental problems. In addition, separate sessions will focus on forestry issues and adaptation to climate change.
The BRICS Environment Ministers Meeting on 28 June will discuss prospects for expanding practical cooperation in an expanded format. The meeting is to adopt a statement of the 10th BRICS Environment Ministers Meeting.
The Roscongress Foundation manages the events of Russia’s BRICS chairship.
