Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov Meets Heads of Committees on International Affairs of BRICS Parliaments

On 11 April Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov met with the heads of committees on international affairs of BRICS parliaments.

Sergey Lavrov offered his perspective of the current international situation and spoke about the joint effort needed to create a fairer multipolar world order, to combat terrorism, and to address other global challenges. He emphasized that Russia’s desire to strengthen BRICS, which stands for the interests of the Global Majority, had not changed.

The Minister also underlined the importance for the Russia’s BRICS Chairship to advance cooperation in its three pillars: policy and security, economy and finance, and cultural and humanitarian collaboration. Special attention is paid to the smooth and harmonious integration of the new BRICS members.
