The Meeting of the Heads of BRICS National Standardization Bodies took place in Moscow during the Russian Energy Week International Forum 2024.
The participants discussed prospects for collaboration in developing technological, industrial, and economic cooperation. The main issues included industry’s involvement in standardization work, the harmonization of standards and approaches to digital transformation, the introduction of green standards in the construction sector, approaches to assessing compliance, and the standardization of artificial intelligence based on the experience in the fields of healthcare and agriculture.
During the event, Russia presented its experience in developing a standard methodology to assess commercial companies and rank them by their level of social and environmental responsibility and reliability in achieving sustainable development goals.
