Meeting of BRICS Heads of Customs Administrations Held in Moscow on 3 September 2024.
At the meeting the participants summed up the results of customs cooperation within the framework of Russia’s BRICS Chairship discussed current issues in customs activities, and exchanged views on priority aspects of cooperation in BRICS format: the development of cooperation in law enforcement; holding of joint institutional development events; and fostering of human resource potential.
One of the key topics of discussion was recognition of Authorized Economic Operator (AEO) institutions in BRICS and drafting of a BRICS Model Agreement on Mutual Recognition of AEO Institutions. A Final Document was adopted at the end of the meeting.
The Roscongress Foundation is the official operator of events held as part of the Russian Federation’s Chairship of BRICS.
