Consultations among BRICS Deputy Ministers of Foreign Affairs/Special Representatives on the Situation in the Middle East and North Africa

On 25 April BRICS Deputy Foreign Ministers / Special Envoys held Consultations on the Middle East and North Africa in Moscow.

Special Representative of the President of the Russian Federation for the Middle East and Africa, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Russia Mikhail Bogdanov chaired the meeting. Viewpoints were exchanged on how to normalize the situation and resolve ongoing crises in Syria, Lebanon, Sudan, Libya, and Yemen. Regional issues were discussed, including the catastrophic situation and the need for an immediate ceasefire in the Gaza Strip.
