The meeting of the BRICS Coordination Committee on Antimonopoly Policy took place on 2 July 2024 in Geneva.
Meeting participants discussed issues related to co-operation between the various BRICS countries’ competition authorities. The participants summed up and presented the interim results of the work of the BRICS Working Groups for the Research of Competition Issues in Socially Important Markets and the Working Group on Cartels and outlined areas for joint work in the coming period.
A joint statement was adopted by the heads of the BRICS competition authorities on the need to consolidate efforts to maintain healthy competition in socially important markets.
The Roscongress Foundation manages the events of Russia’s BRICS Chairship.
