The BRICS Working Group on Competition Research in Food Markets held its latest meeting in Johannesburg on 3 September 2024.
The event was part of the 18th Annual Competition Law, Economics, and Policy Conference and was attended by representatives of the BRICS competition authorities, the UN Conference on Trade and Development, and the UN Food and Agriculture Organization.
The meeting participants discussed some of the most pressing issues concerning food security and competition policy, factors that have a negative impact on competition on the agricultural markets of BRICS and partner countries, as well as the role of international cooperation in addressing the development of competition in the agricultural sector.
The Roscongress Foundation manages the events of Russia’s BRICS chairship.
